Born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana (1949).
Graduated from The University of Southwestern La. (1974) with a BA in Architecture.
Worked for the Associated Press while in college.

Staffed on three major daily newspapers. The Dallas Times Herald, The Los Angeles Times and The Tampa Tribune.
Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize (along with reporter Nanette Holland) for a story on the Gulf of Mexico. (1991).

Currently resides in Manhattan (upper east side) and does contractural photography for Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Opera House.
